Lebanon Waterfalls: Feel the Magic in these 10 Amazing Spots

Lebanon is full of natural landmarks worth exploring, and definitely waterfalls are one of them!

1. Baloue Balaa

Located in Tannourine, Baloue Balaa (also known as Baatara Gorge) is one of Lebanon’s top destinations! The waterfall drops 255 meters into a fascinating cave known as the Cave of the Three Bridges. Take a 10-minute walk from the parking lot to reach this beautiful landmark.

2. Afqa Waterfall

Located in Byblos District, Afqa waterfall is another must-visit destination! It’s the source that feeds the Nahr Ibrahim river. The waterfall comes out from a large limestone cave and releases its water into springs and streams below. You can enter the cave and explore it from the inside, and also swim in the lake where it falls.

3. Kfarhelda Waterfalls

Welcome to Kfarhelda waterfalls, a hidden gem in the Batroun mountains. Park your car next to Al Shellal restaurant in Boustan El Assi, then go down a 10-minute path to reach a breathtaking waterfall. The river flow will lead you to another waterfall, shorter than the first one and also worth exploring!

P.S. You can also hike in the mountain along the Nahr El Joz river to reach your destination.

4. Baakline Waterfalls

Baakline is a beautiful town in the Chouf district, known for its blue lakes and waterfalls. Many of these waterfalls are now home to many restaurants where you can enjoy a delicious Lebanese meal with a view.

5. Yahchouch Waterfalls

Located in Jabal Moussa reserve, Yahchouch is your go-to place for a fun adventure! Walk down in a beautiful Pine forest to reach the Nahr Ibrahim river. Discover many waterfalls, tunnels, and different types of trees. You can also take a dip in the refreshing water.

6. Jezzine Waterfall

Jezzine waterfall is the highest in Lebanon and among the tallest in the world! You can admire the waterfall from above or hike down to its base. It’s surely one of the top attractions to visit while you’re in Jezzine.

7. Serjbel Waterfall

This small village in Chouf is the home of a gorgeous lake and waterfall. Take a small passage down the valley to reach this hidden gem. (Ask the locals in case you get lost). When you reach your destination, swim in the crystal clear water and enjoy a relaxing day in this little paradise!

8. Oyoun El Samak Waterfall

Akkar district in North Lebanon is home to many forests, mountains, lakes, and natural landmarks. And here’s one of its top destinations: Oyoun El Samak. Go on a hiking trip to explore its lake, waterfalls, and stunning nature.

9. Faraya Waterfall

10. Baskinta Waterfall

Head to Baskinta in Mount Lebanon and go on a special adventure to reach the waterfall. Start your hike from Baskinta Hills moving downwards to the valley. Then, take multiple steel stairs to reach this amazing spot!
